FOP2026, the 49th annual symposium of the Optical Society of India, is being hosted jointly by the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) and CSIR-National Physical Laboratory (CSIR-NPL). The symposium will serve as a platform for scientists, engineers, researchers, and students to exchange ideas, while also offering manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers an opportunity to showcase their products and services.

Founded in 1965, the Optical Society of India (OSI) grew from a small group of dedicated members into a prominent scientific society. It has hosted annual national and international symposia for over four decades.
